An abandoned rail yard on the outskirts of Brockton Bay. ABB territory. Where Taylor first encountered Lung — the fight that launched her cape career.
The Trainyard is where Brockton Bay's industrial past goes to rust. It's been abandoned for years, making it perfect for illicit meetings, cape fights, and gang activity. The ABB uses it as staging ground and neutral meeting space — Lung was here with his people when Taylor stumbled into her first cape encounter, overhearing his plan to kill children (the Undersiders). She attacked him with every insect in range, and the Undersiders helped finish the fight. The location is tactically interesting — train cars provide cover, the open spaces create kill zones, and the terrain is uneven enough to complicate movement. Homeless encampments cluster in the more sheltered train cars. PRT patrols avoid the area at night.
Rusted rail tracks overgrown with weeds stretch between rows of derelict train cars. Gravel crunches underfoot. Collapsed wooden outbuildings lean at angles. The skeletal frames of loading gantries stand against the sky. Broken glass and debris litter the ground. At night, the only light comes from distant streetlamps and the occasional trash fire.
