The Rig serves as the adult Protectorate heroes' base of operations, separate from the PRT building where the Wards stay. Armsmaster, Miss Militia, Assault, Battery, Velocity, and Triumph operate from here. The offshore location provides natural defense and keeps cape operations at arm's length from civilian government. The force field generator — Tinker-made — can seal the entire platform in an emergency. The Rig also houses a secondary command center for Endbringer alerts and city-wide crises. Despite its fortress appearance, the team stationed here is stretched thin. They run shifts to maintain city patrols while keeping the Rig staffed. The platform creaks and sways in storms, and the salt air corrodes everything that isn't regularly maintained.
A massive oil rig platform rising from the bay, connected to shore by a guarded causeway. The structure bristles with communication arrays and sensor equipment. A shimmering force field dome can deploy over the entire platform. Helicopter pads sit on the upper deck. The platform has been modified with living quarters, meeting rooms, and armories.
