The Docks

Location from Worm by Wildbow

Brockton Bay's industrial waterfront district. Rusting warehouses, abandoned piers, and gang territory where the ABB holds power through fear and Lung's reputation.

The Docks were once the economic heart of Brockton Bay. Now they're a monument to collapse. The shipping industry's death left thousands of longshoremen and dock workers unemployed, and the neighborhood followed. ABB tags mark most surfaces — Lung's territory, understood and unchallenged. The warehouses serve as everything from drug labs to fighting rings to impromptu shelters for the homeless. At night the area empties of civilians. The sound of distant machinery occasionally breaks the silence — someone always running something illicit. Danny Hebert's Dockworkers Association operates out of here, one of the few legitimate organizations still trying. The Undersiders' loft sits above it all, hidden in plain sight among the industrial decay.

Appearance

Rows of corrugated steel warehouses with peeling paint line cracked asphalt streets. Loading cranes stand frozen against the sky like skeletal sentinels. Chain-link fences sag around empty lots. Puddles of oily water collect in potholes. Streetlights are sparse — half of them broken or stolen.
