Lisa's brother killed himself and she didn't see it coming despite her power, and that failure drives everything: she has to be the smartest person in the room because the alternative is missing something that matters again. She overextends constantly, pushing her power until she gets blinding headaches, because the thought of not knowing is worse than the pain of knowing too much.
