Character from Worm by Wildbow
The Slaughterhouse Nine's herald — she announces their arrival to a city by detonating every pane of glass simultaneously. Haughty, cruel, and utterly convinced of her own superiority.
Shatterbird opens every Nine visit the same way: she sings, and every piece of silica in the city — windows, screens, glasses, phone displays — explodes simultaneously. It is a statement of power, a declaration of war, and she savors it. She views herself as royalty among the Nine, above the brutes and madmen, a woman of refinement forced to associate with animals. This arrogance is her defining feature — she does not kill because she is broken or compelled but because she considers most people beneath her notice. She is dangerous, effective, and deeply unpleasant.
Tall, striking woman of Middle Eastern descent with sharp features and an imperious bearing. Wears a costume incorporating glass shards that orbit her body in slow, glittering patterns. Her voice carries the clipped precision of someone accustomed to being obeyed.
