Gregor is the quietest member of Faultline's crew and possibly the most thoughtful person in Brockton Bay's cape scene. He produces chemical compounds from his body — acids, adhesives, lubricants, smoke — with conscious control over their composition. He fights methodically, without aggression or ego. Off the battlefield, he's gentle, observant, and deeply preoccupied with the question of who he was before he became this. Unlike Newter, who has largely accepted his blank past, Gregor believes the answer matters — that identity isn't something you can just build from scratch, that the person he was deserves to be remembered. He may be wrong about that. He pursues the question anyway.
Heavyset, with translucent, slightly gelatinous skin through which internal structures are faintly visible. Slug-like in texture. Bald, with a calm, unexpressive face. Moves slowly and deliberately. Wears loose, concealing clothing.
