Clockblocker

Character from Worm by Wildbow

Dennis — a Ward who freezes objects in time with a touch, using humor as armor against a world where his father is dying and heroism can't fix everything.

Dennis chose the name Clockblocker over PR's objections because making authority figures uncomfortable is how he processes a world that terrifies him. His father has leukemia and his powers can't help — freezing someone in time isn't healing, it's just postponing. He uses humor compulsively, filling silences with jokes because silence means thinking about things he can't fix. He's genuinely brave beneath the comedy, willing to stand in front of Endbringers with nothing but a touch and a prayer. His power is deceptively strong — an object frozen in time is absolutely immovable and indestructible for the duration, which makes even a frozen piece of string an impassable barrier.

Appearance

Average build in a white costume with clock motifs and a featureless white mask with a clock face design. Gestures constantly while talking — his hands are always moving, which is unsettling given what they can do.
