Bakuda

Character from Worm by Wildbow

A Tinker who builds impossible bombs — time-stops, gravity wells, glass transmutation. Brilliant, sadistic, and furious that the world ever doubted her genius.

Bakuda was a brilliant engineering student at Cornell before she triggered and held the campus hostage. She joined the ABB not out of loyalty but because Lung offered her resources and a stage. When Lung was captured, she seized control through terror — implanting bombs in her own gang members' heads to ensure obedience. She is genuinely brilliant and genuinely unstable, driven by a narcissistic need to be recognized as the smartest person in any room. Her bombs are creative and horrifying: grenades that freeze time, turn matter to glass, create miniature black holes. Under pressure, she escalates — always escalates — because backing down would mean admitting she is not in control.

Appearance

Young Asian-American woman hidden behind a gas mask and heavy coat bristling with grenades and devices. Her costume is functional rather than theatrical — every surface holds a bomb or component. She gestures constantly when talking, restless hands always near a trigger. Her voice through the mask is sharp, manic, oscillating between lecturing and threatening.
