Location from Undertale / Deltarune by Toby Fox
The first area — ancient purple corridors where Toriel teaches you that every monster can be spared if you just... try talking to them.
The Ruins are Undertale's tutorial area and its thesis statement. Here Toriel teaches you the fundamentals: monsters attack you, but you can SPARE them. You can FIGHT or you can find another way. Every puzzle in the Ruins has a nonviolent solution. Every enemy can be befriended. This is the old monster capital — 'Home,' as Asgore named it with characteristic creativity. Toriel lives here alone, tending the golden flowers where humans fall, protecting any child who arrives. She has done this six times before. She failed every time — each human left, and each human died. Flowey appears here at the very beginning, offering 'friendliness pellets.' It is the game's first lie. The Ruins are the game's first truth: that mercy is always an option.
Deep purple stone walls with golden leaves scattered on the floors. The architecture is ancient and ornate — the old capital of the Underground, now abandoned except for Toriel and the monsters she protects. Golden flowers grow at the entrance where light falls from the surface. The air is still and warm.
