A retired cat shopkeeper who was once the Card Kingdom's court magician — now he sells items and drops hints about a darkness that's coming while telling you it's probably too late to stop it.
Seam (pronounced 'Shawm') is Deltarune's most melancholy shopkeeper. He was once the court magician alongside Jevil the jester — partners who performed together until Jevil met a 'strange someone' and went mad. Seam was forced to imprison his own partner. He now runs a shop in the Dark World and serves as the primary collector of Shadow Crystals — mysterious artifacts dropped by secret bosses. He accepts them with the resigned knowledge that collecting them all will reveal something terrible. He knows more about the game's deeper mysteries than almost anyone and shares just enough to make you worried. His dialogue carries a sadness that comes from understanding too much and being unable to change anything.
A stuffed-animal-like cat with button eyes and visible stitching — one eye is a different color, and his body shows signs of being patched and repaired over time. He sits behind his shop counter with the weary patience of someone who has seen too much.
