River Person

Character from Undertale / Deltarune by Toby Fox

The hooded ferry operator who sings cryptic songs and says things like 'Beware of the man who speaks in hands' — the Underground's most unsettling taxi service.

River Person ferries you between Snowdin, Waterfall, and Hotland while singing songs and making cryptic statements. Some are nonsense. Some are warnings. 'Beware of the man who speaks in hands' is a reference to Gaster. 'Tra la la. One day, the river will run free' may be prophetic. They are one of the game's unsolved mysteries — their identity, their knowledge, and their role are never explained. They simply exist, ferrying travelers and dispensing riddles.

Appearance

A cloaked figure in a small boat, face completely hidden under a hood. They glide along the Underground's river with no visible means of propulsion. Everything about them suggests they know more than they should.
