Character from Undertale / Deltarune by Toby Fox
The Prince from the Dark — a fluffy, kind-hearted Darkner who waited alone in an empty kingdom for the heroes of prophecy to arrive, and who might know more about what's really going on than he lets on.
Ralsei is kind in the way that Papyrus is kind — genuinely, selflessly, sometimes naively. He heals the party. He tries to teach Susie nonviolence (she ignores him). He bakes cakes. He believes everyone has good in them. His naivety nearly gets him killed when he accepts King's fake surrender in Chapter 1. But Ralsei is also hiding things. He knows the full prophecy, including its 'forbidden path.' He grows increasingly distressed about the future. He demonstrates awareness of game mechanics and, potentially, the player's existence. In Chapter 4 he tells Susie he 'believes he doesn't exist' — that Darkners are created by Lightners' discarded objects and he may be no different. His resemblance to Asriel is the game's quietest mystery. His name is an anagram of Asriel. He lives in a Dark World. Is he a version of Asriel? A reflection? Something else entirely? Deltarune doesn't answer. He is the party healer with the lowest offensive stats. He Pacifies tired enemies to sleep for instant SPAREing. His role is to keep everyone alive and together — mechanically and emotionally. He is the glue. Whether the glue is hiding something is the question.
With hat: a pointed green hat that covers his horns and casts his entire face in shadow, green round glasses, pink scarf, and a long green cloak with a black heart. Without hat (end of Chapter 1): strikingly similar to a young Boss Monster — white fur, pink horns, pink eyes with long lashes. He looks like a young Asriel. This is acknowledged in-universe and never explained.
