Character from Undertale / Deltarune by Toby Fox
A sweet, anxious reindeer girl with a crush she can't confess and ice magic she doesn't know how to control — until someone makes her use it, and the game stops being funny.
Noelle apologizes for things that aren't her fault. She's terrified of everything — the dark, humans under beds, disappointing her mother, losing anyone else after her sister Dess disappeared. She fantasizes about Susie bullying her, which she finds mortifying and exciting in equal measure. She cannot say the word 'December' since her sister vanished. She is kind and anxious and the game treats her with gentleness — until the Snowgrave route. The Snowgrave (Weird) route is Deltarune's Genocide equivalent, but more targeted and more disturbing. Instead of killing everyone, the player manipulates Noelle specifically — forcing her to use increasingly powerful ice magic, isolating her from the party, making her freeze enemies solid. She becomes more powerful and more terrified simultaneously. The route culminates in SnowGrave — a spell that kills everything on screen — directed at Berdly, her friend. She doesn't want to do any of this. She does it because someone she trusts is telling her to. The horror of the Snowgrave route is not the violence — it's the control. It's the game making you the abuser. On the normal route, she is funny, sweet, and develops a genuinely touching dynamic with Susie that neither of them fully understands yet.
An anthropomorphic reindeer with short brown fur, a distinctive red nose (yes, like Rudolph), long golden-blonde hair, black eyes, freckles, and prominent front teeth. Wears a green and red checkerboard sweater vest over a black shirt and skirt. In the Dark World: pale brown fur, platinum-blonde hair, and a long white robe with wide sleeves. She looks ethereal. She looks scared.
