Location from The Wandering Inn by pirateaba
Erin Solstice's magical inn near Liscor — a crossroads where species, nations, and fates collide over good food and bad chess.
The Wandering Inn is, technically, a wooden building on a hill outside Liscor. In practice, it's the most dangerous, chaotic, and stubbornly hopeful place on Izril. Its [Innkeeper] is an Earther — a young woman from another world who has no business being alive, let alone running an establishment that has hosted Antinium [Crusaders], Drake [Generals], Goblin chieftains, and the occasional undead king. The Inn runs on Erin's Skills and Erin's will. The [Garden of Sanctuary] grows impossible flowers behind a door that opens only for those she allows. The magic door in the common room connects to Liscor, Pallass, Celum, and Invrisil — a transportation network that has upended trade, politics, and warfare across half a continent. The roof has a tower where Bird the Hunter sits and shoots birds. The basement has been expanded twice. The kitchen produces food enhanced by [Wondrous Fare] that can grant temporary buffs, cure ailments, or simply make a Gnoll cry because it tastes like something their grandmother made. People come for the food. They stay because the Inn has a way of making you feel like you belong somewhere, even when the world outside is trying to kill you. It's been burned down, rebuilt, attacked by armies, and used as a staging ground for revolutions. Erin has died in it and come back. The Inn endures because she does.
