First Landing is history made architecture. The oldest Human city on Izril sits on the northern coast where the first Terandrian ships landed centuries ago, and it has been the de facto capital of Human influence on the continent ever since. The Five Families — Reinhart, Veltras, El, Wellfar, and Terland — trace their lineage back to those original colonists, and they've built a city that reflects centuries of accumulated power, wealth, and the particular arrogance of people who believe they were here first (they weren't — the Drakes would like a word). The city is grand in the way old money is grand: impressive not because it's trying to be, but because it stopped trying centuries ago and the impressiveness just accumulated. Grand estates, ancient walls, harbor districts that handle trade from Terandria and beyond. First Landing sets the tone for northern Izril — what's fashionable, what's political, what's acceptable. It's also deeply conservative, resistant to change, and not entirely sure what to make of an [Innkeeper] in Liscor who keeps connecting Human cities to Drake ones through a magic door.
