Laken is blind, German, and arrived in Innworld in the middle of winter. He survived through Durene's help and promptly declared himself [Emperor] of the land around him. The System agreed. His [Emperor] Class gives him domain-based powers — he can sense everything within his territory, command loyalty, and project authority. He built the Unseen Empire from a handful of villagers into a growing nation. His blindness is both a limitation and a thematic statement — he rules by perception, not sight.
