Location from The Elder Scrolls by Bethesda Game Studios
A vast underground Dwemer cavern stretching beneath much of Skyrim. Lit by giant bioluminescent mushrooms and containing a silent Dwemer city, Blackreach is one of the greatest wonders and dangers of the underground.
Blackreach is the largest known Dwemer underground complex, a single enormous cavern connecting multiple Dwemer cities beneath Skyrim's surface. Access points include Alftand, Mzinchaleft, and Raldbthar, each requiring navigation through dangerous Dwemer ruins filled with Falmer and automata. The cavern itself contains a Dwemer city, farms of glowing fungi, and the great orb Lex — which, when struck with Unrelenting Force, summons the dragon Vulthuryol. Blackreach holds one of the Elder Scrolls needed to learn Dragonrend. The Falmer, blind descendants of the Snow Elves enslaved and mutated by the Dwemer, have made Blackreach their primary domain since the Dwemer's mysterious disappearance.
An impossibly vast underground cavern lit by enormous glowing mushrooms that cast an eerie blue-green light across silent Dwemer towers and bridges. A great glowing orb hangs from the cavern ceiling like an artificial sun. Falmer camps cluster between crumbling Dwemer structures, and Dwemer automata patrol ancient walkways. Geode veins of precious minerals shimmer in the walls.
