The Mace of Molag Bal is among the most evil artifacts in Tamriel, an instrument of domination that drains both the stamina and magicka of those it strikes while simultaneously soul-trapping them on death. In Skyrim, Molag Bal lures the Dragonborn to an abandoned house in Markarth, where his spirit demands they beat a priest of Boethiah to death with the rusted mace to restore its power. The quest is among the most morally repugnant acts the Dragonborn can perform, perfectly reflecting Molag Bal's sphere of domination and cruelty. The Prince delights in corruption, and wielding his mace marks one as his instrument.
A heavy spiked mace of dark metal with a head shaped like a snarling Daedric face. The spikes drip with a faint dark energy, and the weapon seems to radiate cold malevolence. Rust-colored stains that may be dried blood never quite wash clean from its surface.
