Item from The Elder Scrolls by Bethesda Game Studios
A Daedric artifact created by Azura, functioning as a reusable soul gem of immense power. Unlike ordinary soul gems, Azura's Star never breaks after use and can be corrupted into the Black Star to trap human souls.
Azura's Star is one of the most coveted Daedric artifacts in Tamriel, a soul gem that never breaks after use. While ordinary soul gems shatter when their trapped soul is consumed in enchanting, Azura's Star can be used indefinitely. In Skyrim, the artifact has been corrupted by the necromancer Malyn Varen, and the Dragonborn must enter the Star itself to cleanse it. Depending on the choice made, it can be returned to Azura as intended — capturing only creature souls — or further corrupted into the Black Star, which can trap the more powerful souls of men and mer. This choice reflects the broader tension between following the Daedric Princes' designs and subverting them for mortal advantage.
A luminous crystalline star shape that hovers and rotates slowly, radiating soft blue-white light. The artifact pulses gently with captured soul energy, its translucent surface revealing swirling light within. In its corrupted Black Star form, it darkens to an ominous violet-black.
