Character from The Elder Scrolls by Bethesda Game Studios
The Clockwork God, most reclusive of the Tribunal. Built an entire mechanical city to replicate Mundus in miniature. Murdered by Almalexia as his divine power faded.
Sotha Sil is the Clockwork God, the Mystery of Morrowind, and the most enigmatic of the three Tribunal gods. While Vivec wrote poetry and Almalexia tended her people, Sotha Sil withdrew into his masterwork — the Clockwork City, a pocket dimension where he attempted to recreate all of Mundus in perfect mechanical miniature. A genius beyond mortal comprehension, Sotha Sil's mind operated on a level that made even his fellow gods uneasy. He negotiated a pact with eight Daedric Princes simultaneously, binding them from directly threatening Morrowind — a diplomatic feat no other mortal or god has replicated. His understanding of the fundamental mechanisms of reality led him to pursue a vision of a perfected world, free from the chaos and suffering of the organic one. His Clockwork City was populated by fabricants — half-organic, half-mechanical creatures — and tended by his followers, the Clockwork Apostles. He modified his own body extensively with Dwemer-inspired prosthetics, becoming more machine with each passing century. In the end, it was not Dagoth Ur or a Daedric Prince who killed him, but Almalexia — his own fellow Tribunal member, driven mad by fading divinity, who murdered him in his city. The Nerevarine found his body still seated on his throne, the god who saw everything coming except betrayal from someone he trusted.
A gaunt Dunmer man more machine than flesh, his body extensively modified with Dwemer-inspired clockwork prosthetics. Brass gears turn visibly in his arms and torso, tubes carry glowing fluid through his frame. His face retains organic features — weary, contemplative eyes behind mechanical augmentations. He speaks rarely and moves with the precise, measured grace of someone who has calculated every gesture.
