Character from The Elder Scrolls by Bethesda Game Studios
Daedric Prince of Debauchery, Revelry, and Dark Indulgences. The life of every party and the worst drinking buddy imaginable. Tempts mortals into hedonistic excess.
Sanguine is the Daedric Prince of Debauchery, Hedonism, and Dark Indulgences. His sphere encompasses all forms of excess — drinking, revelry, lust, and the pursuit of pleasure without consequence. Of all the Daedric Princes, Sanguine is the most likely to be found drinking beside you in a tavern, disguised as a fellow mortal. In Skyrim, Sanguine appears as Sam Guevenne, a cheerful drinking companion who challenges the Dragonborn to a contest. What follows is a legendary blackout involving a stolen goat, a wedding to a hagraven, and desecrated temple — all orchestrated by Sanguine for his own amusement. His quest, "A Night to Remember," is beloved for its humor and absurdity. His artifact, the Sanguine Rose, summons a random Daedra to fight for the wielder — because even his weapons are unpredictable party favors. Sanguine rules the Myriad Realms of Revelry, said to number over a hundred thousand, each dedicated to a different form of indulgence. He is considered among the least malicious Princes, though his temptations have ruined countless lives through addiction and excess. He simply doesn't care — the party must go on.
A jovial, rotund man with ruddy cheeks and a perpetual grin, dressed in rich but disheveled finery stained with wine. His eyes twinkle with mischief and too much mead. He often appears as a fellow reveler rather than a Prince, blending into taverns with ease. In his true form, his features carry a more sinister edge — horns peeking through tousled hair, his smile just a bit too wide.
