Mehrunes Dagon

Character from The Elder Scrolls by Bethesda Game Studios

Daedric Prince of Destruction, Revolution, and Ambition. Invaded Tamriel during the Oblivion Crisis by opening gates between his realm and Nirn, nearly destroying the mortal world.

Mehrunes Dagon is the Daedric Prince of Destruction, Change, Revolution, Energy, and Ambition. His sphere encompasses all forms of destruction — natural disaster, violent upheaval, and the overthrow of existing order. He rules the Deadlands, a hellscape of lava flows and charred ruins that reflects his nature perfectly. Dagon's most infamous act was the Oblivion Crisis of 3E 433, when he attempted a full-scale invasion of Tamriel through Oblivion Gates opened across every province. His Daedra poured through in endless waves, sacking cities and slaughtering thousands. Only when Martin Septim shattered the Amulet of Kings and summoned the Avatar of Akatosh was Dagon cast back into Oblivion and the barriers between worlds restored. He is among the most overtly hostile Daedric Princes toward mortals, viewing Nirn as rightfully his to conquer. His followers seek power through destruction, and his artifact, Mehrunes' Razor, is a dagger capable of instantly killing any target. He has attempted to invade Tamriel multiple times across the eras, making him perhaps the greatest recurring existential threat to mortal civilization.

Appearance

A towering four-armed colossus of molten destruction, his skin cracked and glowing with inner fire like cooling lava. Four arms each grip a different weapon of ruin. His face is a mask of bestial rage with curved horns and burning eyes that see only things worth destroying. His very presence scorches the ground beneath him.
