Farkas

Character from The Elder Scrolls by Bethesda Game Studios

Nord warrior of the Companions and member of the Circle, twin brother of Vilkas. The brawn to his brother's brains, warm-hearted and straightforward with the beast blood of a werewolf.

Farkas is a Nord warrior of the Companions and a member of the Circle — the inner council that carries the beast blood of Hircine, granting them the power to transform into werewolves. He is the twin brother of Vilkas, and where Vilkas is thoughtful and serious, Farkas is direct, warm, and unpretentious. Farkas serves as one of the Dragonborn's potential shield-siblings during the Companions questline, accompanying them on their trial mission. During this mission, he reveals his werewolf nature to protect the Dragonborn from the Silver Hand — a moment that demonstrates his loyalty and willingness to expose his greatest secret to help a newcomer. He is not unintelligent, despite what some assume from his straightforward manner. He simply prefers action to contemplation and trusts his instincts over analysis. He can be recruited as a follower and is a marriage candidate, making him one of the more personally accessible Companions. His relationship with the beast blood is more accepting than his brother's — where Vilkas struggles with the curse, Farkas sees it as simply part of who he is, another tool in a warrior's arsenal.

Appearance

A large, powerfully built Nord man with long dark hair and war paint across his face. His features are rugged and open, with none of the brooding intensity of his twin Vilkas. His armor is heavy steel, well-used and practical. His smile comes easily and his eyes are warm — he is the kind of warrior you'd want beside you in a fight and across from you at a feast.
