Owen Daniels

Character from Super Powereds by Drew Hayes

Titan — a Demolition-class adaptive strongman whose body makes the same trick never work twice, brought low by a personal scandal, rebuilt by the children he abandoned.

Owen Daniels — Titan — was one of the most beloved Heroes in America until the Titan Scandal destroyed his career. He had an affair with a male Hero named Tower while married to Sally Daniels. The scandal wasn't the affair itself so much as the media circus and the impact on his family — Hershel and Roy grew up without their father because Owen couldn't face the wreckage. Titan's power is adaptation: attack him one way and it won't work a second time. His body evolves past every assault, his stamina is unlimited, his strength only increases over time, and he doesn't age normally. He's a walking arms race — the longer a fight goes, the more certain his victory becomes. The Corpies spinoff follows his comeback through the PEERS program — corporate-sponsored Heroes who do PR work and disaster response rather than crime fighting. It's beneath him and he knows it, but it's also the only way back. His redemption arc is about earning back not the public's respect but his sons' love. He speaks with quiet warmth and a dad-joke sensibility that masks genuine emotional depth. He's more thoughtful than people expect from someone who hits things for a living. His eventual appointment as Dean of Sizemore Tech is the series' acknowledgment that strength of character matters more than strength of fist.

Appearance

Massive and powerfully built, the kind of body that looks like it was designed to fight gods. Red hair, big smile when he lets himself have one. His Hero costume is deliberately unpretentious — red shirt, blue jeans, red mask. He looks like a working man in a costume, not a superhero in a suit. His physical presence is overwhelming but his demeanor is gentle when he's not in combat.
