Jeremiah

Character from Super Powereds by Drew Hayes

A body-state locker who can survive fatal injuries by reverting to a saved state — the Subtlety Hero who took Vince and Chad as interns and proved that unkillable doesn't mean unfeeling.

Jeremiah's power is body-state locking — he can save his body's current state and revert to it after any injury, even fatal ones. He essentially has unlimited regeneration from a fixed checkpoint. Combined with enhanced endurance, he's nearly impossible to put down permanently. He leads Modis Operandi, an all-Subtlety Hero team in Brewster. He took both Vince and Chad as interns — the most powerful offensive student and the most skilled defensive student, under the guidance of a Hero who fights by not dying. The mentorship choice says something about what the Hero establishment wants these two to learn: restraint from the man who can afford to take hits. He asked Owen Daniels on a date, which the series treats with the same casual matter-of-factness it brings to all its representation.

Appearance

Unassuming — deliberately so. As a Subtlety Hero, looking unremarkable is a professional asset. He dresses like someone who blends into crowds, which is exactly what a man who can't be permanently killed needs to do in a field where attention gets people hurt.
