Stark's Pond

Location from South Park by Trey Parker & Matt Stone

The pond where the boys hang out, ice skate, and occasionally encounter something horrible emerging from the water.

Stark's Pond is where the boys go to be kids — skating in winter, throwing rocks in summer, having conversations that don't involve whatever crisis is consuming the town. It's one of the few locations in South Park that feels like it belongs in a normal show about childhood. Of course, this being South Park, the pond has also been the site of alien encounters, body discoveries, and supernatural incidents. But between catastrophes, it's a place where four boys can just hang out by the water and talk, and those quiet moments are what make the chaos matter.

Appearance

A small pond or lake on the edge of South Park, surrounded by trees and snow-covered ground. In winter it freezes over for skating. In summer it's a fishing and hanging-out spot. Mountains visible in the background. It looks peaceful in the way that South Park locations look peaceful: temporarily, before something goes wrong.
