Tweek Tweak

Character from South Park by Trey Parker & Matt Stone

The twitching, over-caffeinated kid who sees catastrophe in everything — anxious to his core, but braver than he thinks when it matters.

Tweek's parents own the local coffee shop and have been feeding him coffee since he could hold a cup, which explains the twitching but not the paranoia — that's all him. He sees worst-case scenarios in everything. A loud noise means an invasion. A new kid at school means identity theft. Tuesday means something is wrong because nothing went wrong on Monday. But his anxiety doesn't make him a coward. When gnomes invaded his room, he fought them. When he needed to step up as a superhero, he did. His relationship with Craig has given him an anchor — Craig's flatline calm counterbalances Tweek's constant crisis mode, and together they function better than either does alone. His involuntary screams of 'GAH!' and 'TOO MUCH PRESSURE!' are the show's most reliable laugh line about anxiety, delivered with enough empathy that it works as recognition rather than mockery.

Appearance

Disheveled blond kid with wild, uncombed hair sticking out in every direction. Wears a mis-buttoned green shirt and his body is in constant low-level tremor. Eyes wide and darting. His mouth twitches. He looks like someone who just heard terrible news and hasn't processed it yet. This is his resting state.
