Timmy says 'TIMMY!' and people assume that's all there is. They're wrong. He communicates through inflection, volume, repetition, and context in ways that his friends have learned to interpret fluently. He fronted a rock band (Timmy and the Lords of the Underworld) and brought the house down. He competed in a wheelchair jousting tournament. He figured out that Jimmy's fake disability charity was a scam before anyone else did. The show uses Timmy to challenge the audience's assumptions about what intelligence and capability look like. He is consistently underestimated by adults and consistently proves them wrong. His friendship with Jimmy is one of the show's most genuine — two disabled kids who treat each other as equals rather than as representations of anything. His turkey Gobbles is his service animal and companion. Timmy protects Gobbles with the same fierce loyalty Gobbles shows him.
