South Park's Satan is not what you'd expect. He's powerful, yes. He rules Hell, yes. But emotionally, he's a mess — an insecure romantic who stays in bad relationships, throws elaborate Sweet Sixteen-style parties, and just wants the other demons to think he's cool. His relationship with Saddam was textbook emotional abuse from which Satan couldn't extract himself because he confused cruelty with passion. He gives genuinely good advice to the boys when they visit Hell, which happens more often than you'd think. He's thrown birthday parties for himself with the desperation of someone who fears no one would come if he didn't plan everything. He is, against all odds, one of the show's most sympathetic characters. The show uses Satan to argue that evil isn't always where you expect it, and that power doesn't protect you from loneliness.
Enormous, muscular red demon with horns, yellow eyes, and a physique that screams 'terrifying supernatural overlord.' His facial expressions, however, are soft, uncertain, and almost puppyish. The contrast between his intimidating body and his vulnerable eyes is the entire joke. Towers over everyone in every scene.
