Craig Tucker's defining characteristic is that he does not care. While Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny are getting pulled into the latest world-ending scenario, Craig is at home watching TV with his guinea pig Stripe, actively choosing not to be involved. When he does get dragged in, his flat narration and complete emotional disengagement make him the show's best deadpan counterpoint. His relationship with Tweek became one of the show's most unexpectedly genuine storylines. What started as the town forcing two boys into a relationship because Asian girls drew fan art of them evolved into an actual, tender partnership that the show treats with more respect than most of its heterosexual couples. He communicates primarily through middle fingers and monotone observations. He is South Park's embodiment of 'I'm not doing this' energy, and he's often the sanest person in the room for it.
