The villain organization of the Sailor Moon S season — a cult-like scientific faction controlled by Pharaoh 90 that operates through Professor Tomoe and uses Pure Heart Crystals to summon the Silence.
The Death Busters believe they are working toward something — Pharaoh 90's arrival and the Silence that follows — in the way that cults believe in ends. The Witches 5 are capable operatives with professional pride. Kaolinite has feelings she doesn't entirely understand. Professor Tomoe is making jokes about Twister. Below all of this is Hotaru Tomoe, who is Mistress 9's host, and who is fighting from inside her own body, and who eventually wins.
Spread across two locations: Mugen Academy's public face and Professor Tomoe's laboratory behind it. The aesthetic is science fiction crossed with occult — Daimon eggs, lab equipment, Witches 5 in formal wear, and an entity the size of a planet waiting in the Tau Nebula.
