The third Shitennou, a petty and volatile schemer in a relationship with Kunzite who delights in Nephrite's failures — he finds the Rainbow Crystals, disobeys Queen Beryl, and is killed for it.

Zoisite hates Nephrite. He tracks Nephrite's failures with glee, undercuts him at every opportunity, and sends three youma to kill him when Nephrite starts deviating from the mission. He also collects the Rainbow Crystals himself with some effectiveness, which is more than Jadeite managed. He disobeys Beryl directly by attempting to kill Mamoru Chiba — an unauthorized action that briefly wrecks the Dark Kingdom's plans. When Beryl executes him for this, he dies in Kunzite's arms. Kunzite's grief at this is the most genuine emotion a Shitennou expresses in the series. Zoisite knew that and relied on it.

Appearance

Wavy auburn hair pulled into a ponytail with a green band, blue-grey uniform with green trim. He teleports with a flutter of cherry blossom petals, which is a very specific aesthetic choice for a Dark Kingdom operative.

• In a relationship with Kunzite — their same-sex relationship was changed to cousins or cut entirely in multiple dubs, which is considered one of anime's most notorious localization controversies
• Collected the Seven Rainbow Crystals — fragments of the Silver Crystal that had sealed the Seven Great Youma — before being stopped by Tuxedo Mask
• Disguised himself as Sailor Moon at one point, which is a bold choice considering what Sailor Moon does to monsters
• Executed by Queen Beryl for disobeying orders and nearly killing Prince Endymion; he died in Kunzite's arms
