The queen of the Moon Kingdom during the Silver Millennium who used the Legendary Silver Crystal to seal Queen Metalia, reincarnate her daughter and the Sailor Guardians on Earth, and died doing it.
Queen Serenity made her choice during the assault on the Moon Kingdom: spend the Silver Crystal, save everyone she could, give her daughter and the Guardians a chance at a new life, and die. She did all of this. The Crystal's power used was hers — there was no version of that ending where she survived. She appears to Usagi and the others in visions and recordings, always with more warmth than authority. She is the origin of everything. She gave Usagi the second chance she needed to become the person who could save everyone — and she trusted Usagi with it completely.
Silver-white hair styled in the same odango style as her daughter, flowing white robes, a gentle and luminous presence. She appears in the series primarily as a memory and a spirit — her voice comes from the crystal, from the past, from a recording she left in the computer system beneath Game Center Crown.
