Usagi's best friend from before magic was part of the picture — a kind, ordinary girl who has been caught in the crossfire of more supernatural events than any civilian in the series and survived all of them.
Naru is Usagi's best friend from before Luna showed up and changed everything. She's warm, sociable, normal — her mother runs a jewelry store, she has a crush or two, she does reasonably well in school. She is also a magnet for supernatural attention that she cannot defend herself from. She fell for Nephrite's civilian disguise. She genuinely fell for him. When he died she cried for episodes. She eventually started dating Umino, which is one of the show's quieter successful love stories. She gradually fades from the center of the series as the Sailor Guardians become Usagi's primary friends, which is both realistic and slightly sad.
Wavy orange hair cut to shoulder length with a teal bow, teal eyes. She wears the standard Juban school uniform and projects an air of warm, uncomplicated friendliness that is accurate to her personality.
