Character from Sailor Moon by Naoko Takeuchi / Toei Animation
The original Sailor Guardian who fought alone as Sailor V for years before finding her team — she presents as the silliest one and is secretly the most mission-focused person in the group.
Minako is loud, funny, perpetually claiming to have a new first love, and catastrophically bad at idioms — she misquotes sayings constantly with total sincerity. She loses interest in things quickly. She is also the leader of the inner Sailor Guardians, has been fighting youma since before the others knew they were Senshi, and dedicates everything — everything — to protecting her Princess. She just hides it under a lot of idol magazines. She was originally planned to be the protagonist of the whole franchise. Sailor V's manga ran first; when Sailor Moon was greenlit, Minako became the leader of Usagi's protectors instead. Something of that original protagonist energy persists — she's quicker on the uptake than she lets on, sharper in battle strategy than her goofing suggests, and carries a loneliness she doesn't talk about. She's also late to things. She will always be late. She doesn't consider this a problem.
Blonde and bright-eyed with long hair worn with a red bow, blue eyes that miss nothing, and the cheerful energy of someone having a great time at a party they organized. She and Usagi look similar enough to be mistaken for each other — this is not accidental. Her companion is a white cat named Artemis. As Sailor Venus she wears white with an orange collar and skirt, orange heels and tiara with an orange gem. She carries herself with easy confidence.
