Pristella (Watergate City)

Location from Re:Zero by Tappei Nagatsuki

A city of canals and watergates that became a killing floor when four Sin Archbishops attacked simultaneously — the site of Arc 5's coordinated nightmare.

Pristella is built on water. Canals thread through every district, watergates control the flow, and the entire city can be flooded as a defensive measure — a feature that became a weapon when the Witch Cult turned it against the population. The city is beautiful in the way that cities built for commerce tend to be: functional elegance, bridges arching over clear water, market districts alive with trade from across Lugunica. Then the Sin Archbishops came. Regulus Corneas (Greed), Sirius Romanée-Conti (Wrath), Lye Batenkaitos (Gluttony), and Capella Emerada Lugunica (Lust) hit the city simultaneously in a coordinated assault that turned Pristella into a hostage crisis the size of a metropolis. The watergates were weaponized. Civilians were used as emotional bombs. Crusch lost her memories. Rem was already gone. Subaru had to coordinate four separate camps — people who barely trusted each other — against enemies who each required a different kind of impossibility to defeat. Pristella survived. The people who fought there didn't come back the same.
