Al Shamak is the highest tier of yin (shadow/spatial) magic — a spell that tears a hole in the fabric of space and displaces whatever passes through it to another location. At its most extreme, it can send targets to entirely different worlds. This is, by strong implication, the mechanism by which Subaru was transported from Japan to the Re:Zero world, though whether Satella cast it deliberately or it was a consequence of her Authority remains unclear. The spell is extraordinarily difficult to cast and nearly impossible to control at the level required for cross-world displacement. Even partial versions — Al Shamak at reduced power — create spatial distortions dangerous enough to be used as combat magic. The full version is less a spell and more a cosmic event: reality folds, space tears, and whatever was standing there is simply elsewhere. It's the isekai mechanism stripped of its usual narrative convenience and presented as what it actually is: violent, disorienting, and completely beyond the victim's control.
