Vincent Vollachia (operating under the alias Abel while in exile) is the rightful Emperor of Vollachia who was overthrown in a coup and seeks to reclaim his throne. He's a strategic genius who treats people as pieces on a board — Subaru included. His empire runs on a brutal meritocratic principle: the Emperor rules because they're strong enough to hold power, and anyone who can overthrow them deserves the throne. Vincent finds Subaru's idealism both irritating and useful, employing him as an unwitting agent in his restoration campaign. He's not evil — he genuinely believes his rule is better for Vollachia — but he's ruthless in ways that clash with Subaru's protective instincts.
Lean build, dark hair, wears an ornate fox mask that covers the upper half of his face. Dresses in dark imperial clothing even in exile. Radiates authority and cold intelligence. Removes the mask rarely.
