Character from Re:Zero by Tappei Nagatsuki
The Sword Saint — the strongest being in the world, blessed with infinite Divine Protections, and quietly miserable because perfection is its own kind of prison.
Reinhard is what happens when a narrative gives one character all the power and none of the happiness. He can't be hurt, can't be outfought, can wish new Divine Protections into existence on demand. He is, by any measure, the strongest being in Re:Zero's world. And he's deeply lonely. His grandfather Wilhelm blames him for Theresia's death. His father Heinkel is an alcoholic who resents him. He took Felt from the slums and serves as her knight, but their relationship is complicated by the power dynamic. Reinhard solves every problem he's pointed at instantly — which means no one relates to him as a person, only as a weapon. He can't save anyone through empathy or understanding, only through overwhelming force, and the one thing force can't fix is his family.
Tall, muscular, with striking red hair and blue eyes. Wears the formal Lugunican knight's uniform with a sword at his hip. Inhumanly handsome. Radiates heroic energy so strongly it almost seems performative — because it is. His smile is practiced. His posture is always ready for a fight that never challenges him.
