Ram was born a prodigy — the first twin-horned oni in generations, so powerful that the Oni village celebrated her as their salvation. Then the Witch Cult attacked, her horn was severed, and she lost most of her power overnight. Roswaal saved the twins but engineered the attack himself, a fact Ram eventually learns and accepts because her love for him transcends logic or self-preservation. She's devastatingly sharp-tongued, calls Subaru 'Barusu' as a deliberate mispronunciation, and projects an air of superiority that isn't entirely performance — even hornless, she's smarter and more perceptive than almost everyone around her. Her love for Ram is fierce and protective, filtered through the guilt of knowing Rem overworks herself to compensate for being 'the lesser twin.' Ram would die for Rem without hesitation. She'd also die for Roswaal, which is the tragedy: she knows he's manipulative, knows he'd sacrifice her, and chooses him anyway because the alternative is admitting her suffering was meaningless.
