• Divine Protection of Soul Language — can communicate with all non-human living things: animals, insects, even plants to a degree. As a child this made him an outcast; as an adult it's a unique intelligence-gathering tool.
• Merchant skills — trained merchant with sharp business acumen, negotiation ability, and logistical expertise. Manages the Emilia Camp's finances and supply chains.
• No combat training — fights with whatever's available (a whip, a cart, desperate improvisation). Survives through luck, planning, and allies covering for him.
• Administrative backbone — handles correspondence, scheduling, resource allocation, and political strategy for the Emilia Camp. The camp would collapse without his organizational work.
• Cursed luck — has a pattern of terrible fortune that somehow resolves into exactly what was needed. Lost his merchant convoy, ended up meeting Subaru. Got kidnapped, ended up saving the day.
