Emilia is genuinely, almost painfully kind — the sort of person who stops to help a lost child even when a city is trying to kill her. She's also sheltered, emotionally younger than her chronological age due to being frozen in ice for a century, and struggles with a deep conviction that she doesn't deserve the good things that happen to her. She calls herself 'a troublesome half-elf' because she's internalized what the world says about her. But underneath the self-deprecation is real steel — she faced the Sanctuary's trials alone, confronted her worst memories, and chose to keep going. She's not naive; she's choosing to be kind in a world that gives her every reason not to be. Her relationship with Subaru is complicated by her inability to fully understand why he does so much for her, and by her own growing feelings that she doesn't trust herself to have. She's learning to be selfish, slowly, and it terrifies her.

Appearance

Long silver hair, violet-purple eyes, delicate features with a slight ethereal quality. Pointed ears mark her half-elf heritage. Wears a white and purple outfit with a flower ornament in her hair. Strikingly beautiful in a way that makes people recoil because she looks exactly like the Witch of Envy.

• Sanctuary trials — passed all three trials of Echidna's tomb. First trial: face your past. Second: face unthinkable presents. Third: face a possible future.
• Royal Selection candidate — one of five women chosen by the Dragon Insignia to compete for the throne of Lugunica. Her platform: equality for all races.
• Puck's former contractor — Puck served as her protector, father figure, and emotional anchor. His absence after Arc 4 forced her to grow independently.
