Ms. Keane

Character from The Powerpuff Girls by Craig McCracken / Cartoon Network

The girls' kindergarten teacher — warm, patient, and almost supernaturally good at treating superhero-sized disruptions as normal classroom events.

Ms. Keane has a classroom where three of her students can level city blocks and one of them talks to animals in three languages, and she treats this as a normal teaching situation requiring only adjusted expectations. She's not oblivious — she's committed. She believes in the girls as children first and superheroes second, which they need more than anyone says. She's occasionally protective of them in ways the rest of Townsville forgets to be. She corrects them. She gives them stars for their drawings. She calls the Professor when something's wrong. She is, in a city of extremes, radically ordinary — and the girls adore her for it.

Appearance

A young woman with shoulder-length dark hair and round glasses with red frames. Wears a white blouse with a red tie or collar and a knee-length skirt. Her expression defaults to patient and warm — she has the look of someone who decided a long time ago to take joy in the small things.
