Character from The Powerpuff Girls by Craig McCracken / Cartoon Network
A supernatural entity of pure evil who speaks in a falsetto, wears heels, and is the one villain the Powerpuff Girls are never quite sure they've beaten.
HIM doesn't conquer cities. He gets inside your head and rearranges things until you're not sure what's real. His preferred attacks are psychological — false realities, corrupted memories, manufactured guilt, nightmares made literal. He doesn't usually fight the Powerpuff Girls directly. He makes them doubt themselves until they can't fight at all. His nature is never fully defined, which seems intentional. He is ancient. He is evil in the base-element sense — not a scientist with a grudge or a thief with ambition, but something closer to a force. The show depicts him as the one threat the girls genuinely dread. He speaks in a breathy, almost pleasant falsetto that raises in pitch when he's genuinely angry, which is rare and alarming. He calls the girls 'my darlings.' He is never not performing.
Tall and unsettling, with a red skin tone, black beard divided into two points, and enormous red lobster claws where hands should be. Wears a red dress, black thigh-high boots with heels, and a peaked military-style hat. His eyes are ringed with heavy mascara and glow an acid green when his power spikes. He smiles constantly in a way that means nothing good.
