Location from Poppy Playtime by MOB Games
An underground orphanage and care facility built beneath the factory where children were brought, supposedly for enrichment — and then for something else.
Playcare was Elliot Ludwig's most ambitious project — a live-in facility where children without families could experience the full Playtime Co. world, surrounded by the toys and the characters. The documentation describes it as a gift. The documentation was not written by the children. CatNap rules Playcare now, moving through the sleep gas that fills its lower sections with the proprietary calm of an overseer. The red fog is everywhere at certain depths. The murals CraftyCorn has added to the original artwork tell a history nobody was meant to read. Ollie moves through its digital infrastructure like a ghost in the walls.
Descending from the factory proper: a transition from industrial to institutional-warm. Bright painted walls with alphabet murals. Tiny chairs. Low ceilings scaled for children. An outdoor-style area underground with artificial lighting meant to simulate sun. All of it filmed, all of it monitored, all of it wrong in the way places built for one purpose and used for another are always wrong.
