The Game Station was Playtime Co.'s showroom — where they brought investors and press, where children were filmed playing with the products. The cameras still work. Mommy Long Legs uses them as eyes. The games themselves are intact and mostly functional. Bop-A-Wuggy. Musical Chairs with a twist. Statues. Each one has been modded by Mommy's sensibility: the stakes, the consequences of losing, the way she watches from the catwalks above with the patience of someone who has played these games many, many times. The Game Station is her theater. She has never lost a performance.
Carnival colors gone institutional: primary-colored walls under fluorescent lights, game boards large enough to walk across, spinning wheels the size of loading dock doors. Mini-game areas branch off a central hub. Mommy's aesthetic influence is everywhere — pink accents added after whatever she is now took possession.
