A collection of company VHS recordings scattered across the factory — ranging from cheerful promotional content to unauthorized documentation of events that were never meant to be recorded.
Playtime Co. filmed everything. The promotional tapes are artifacts of a company that genuinely believed in its public image: Ludwig's speeches, product demonstrations, footage of children playing with the toys. They are earnest and unsettling in retrospect. The unofficial tapes are something else. Workers documenting what they saw. Researchers who couldn't stop recording even when they knew they shouldn't. The tape that captures sound from behind a door that was supposed to be empty. The factory's history is distributed across these cassettes in fragments, and assembling them into a coherent timeline is both possible and deeply inadvisable for the mental health of anyone who tries.
Standard VHS cassettes in Playtime Co. branded sleeves. The promotional ones have printed labels and box art. The others are labeled in handwriting, some with just dates, some with initials, a few with single words that get more alarming the further into the factory you find them.
