Item from Poppy Playtime by MOB Games
Standard Playtime Co. employee equipment — a backpack-mounted system that fires two mechanical hands on extendable cables, capable of grabbing, conducting electricity, and bridging gaps.
The GrabPack was developed for factory floor work: reaching components in dangerous machinery, moving items from a safe distance, pulling switches that couldn't be accessed directly. Playtime Co.'s engineering was better than anyone gave them credit for. The GrabPack works perfectly after years of disuse. It is also the only reason a human being can navigate the factory's challenges. The game the building presents — the puzzles, the obstacles, the distances — is calibrated around this tool in ways that either mean the factory was always designed as a game environment, or that whatever is keeping it running has adjusted things for your arrival. Neither explanation is more comfortable than the other.
A red industrial backpack with two large circular hand-launch mechanisms on either side. The hands themselves are articulated, mechanical, roughly human-sized, fired on reinforced cables that retract with enough force to drag a person or an object. One hand is blue, one is red — the red one conducts electricity.
