Mini Huggies

Character from Poppy Playtime by MOB Games

Swarms of small Huggy Wuggy-styled creatures that move in packs through the factory's vents and lower corridors — individually harmless, collectively overwhelming.

Nobody knows if the Mini Huggies are lesser experiments, defective attempts at replicating the original, or something the Prototype created deliberately as a dispersed sensor network. They chitter. They swarm. They don't coordinate in any visible way, but they consistently arrive at inconvenient times. The uncanny element is behavioral: they don't always attack. Sometimes they observe. Sometimes a pack will follow a visitor at distance for an entire corridor, then scatter. It's unclear whether this is predatory patience or something else — curiosity, perhaps, or relaying information to something larger.

Appearance

Exact replicas of Huggy Wuggy shrunk to the size of housecats. Same cyan fur, same enormous grin, same yellow eyes. They move in groups and tend to emerge from unexpected places — vents, drawers, ceiling tiles. One is startling. Twelve are a problem.
