The Last Witness

Character from Poppy Playtime by MOB Games

A Playtime Co. employee who survived the Hour of Joy — the night the experiments broke free — and has been hiding in the factory ever since.

They were in a maintenance closet when the alarms went off. They heard the Hour of Joy happen around them and they stayed very still until it was over. Then they kept staying still, because leaving meant crossing paths with things that no longer had any reason to let a person pass. The Last Witness knows the factory as it was and as it is, and the gap between those two things has given them a kind of fractured clarity. They can tell you what the Bigger Bodies Initiative actually did. They can show you routes. They can also completely shut down when a sound doesn't belong, pressing themselves into corners and going somewhere else inside their own head. Trust them with information. Don't startle them.

Appearance

Hollow-eyed, wrapped in layers of found clothing, living off vending machine remnants and whatever the factory's infrastructure still provides. Moves through familiar corridors with a paranoid efficiency that looks almost like comfort. Has stopped being surprised by much.
